Nothing will ever top NHL 94

Started playing a little this past weekend.. Used my entire 10 hour trial on Be A GM mode, which seems fairly similar to last years, except now you can start with a fantasy draft (which I did) and you also have to manage player morale. The player morale adds a new element to the game... I can see some people hating it and not wanting to deal with it at all, but I think for others it'll make a nice addition.

I really like the addition of the on ice trainer... It's a big help with passing/shooting.

Also the engine of the game just feels better. It seems like the players are smarter, and make better moves/passes. I'm a big fan of the fact that you actually pay attention and try to play the puck, rather than it always just flying right past your guy.

I'm psyched on it so far... can't wait to get more into the EASHL mode.

After NHL 15 on Xbone and PS4 I am boycotting all future NHL games. The fact that they took $60 dollars from me for that piece of crap will never be forgiven. Less game modes, Game breaking bugs, bullpoop gameplay(50 shot to 5 and you will lose ). I lost 10 games straight where I averaged 50 shots and they had 5-10 and I lost 1-0 or 2-1 on bullpoop one timers that miraculously go side to side through 3 players or some other bull poop weak goal. Yea weak goals happen but they dont happen 10 games straight. I am tired of games punishing those who are good at the game to attract casual players. If you want to be good, it should take practice. Not just pick up and be amazing.

I like the feel of it. Ek you're on point about the skating, and another notable feature is the body positioning, it just seems to feel more realistic and guys are paying attention to the right areas of the ice at the right time.

All the new "Assistant" in-game features are a tad annoying, those I turned off right away.

Another easter egg is after a Habs win (over time with pk scoring my in experience) pk will triple low five Carey price. I hate the Habs lol but that was cool!

Online play still sucks. I saw HUT teams with 60-70 characters dekeing like they're Ovie. Single player HUT is fun though.

I have last years. You have Play now, Be a Pro, Be a GM, Play online, Hockey Ultimate Team, then each menu goes into a sub-menu with several options and games modes: numerous international leagues, tournaments, outdoor games, online league games, simple online versus, season mode, playoff mode, practice mode, shootouts, etc...it was a bit overwhelming. I imagine most players only play one or two modes.

Rocket League has made all other sports games unnecessary
